Advice For Someone Younger
At times, life can be a rocky ride. Plans fall through, people disappoint, your dreams feel out of reach. When you’re feeling down, lost, or hopeless, it’s always a good idea to turn to someone a little bit older who’s gone through hardship and come out the other end stronger than before. We spoke with some of our very wise Brat stars to hear the advice they’d share with anyone in search of a little guidance. Scroll to read their words of wisdom!
Don’t believe everything you see! Only a small part of my life is on social media, and I want you all to know that even though you see me on screen and attending red carpet events, I have the same problems as you all do. I worry when I get a breakout, I argue with my Mum and Dad when they won’t let me do things, and I feel hurt if I hear someone’s been talking about me. Teenage life is complicated and we should all help each other through it, not hide our feelings and pretend everything is perfect!!
The advice I would give is simply to never stop following and chasing your dreams. You know what you wanna be in life, and nobody else can declare that for you. Also: stay positive, life is full of unfortunate and upsetting events, but as long as you keep your head up and stay positive, you’ll be able to get through it. You have to go through the hard times to get to the good sometimes.
Don’t be afraid to try new things! If you fail, it’s ok, because you learn a lot from failure. And who knows, you might not fail!
Try not to fear people's judgment. If you love doing something, don't let anyone stop you. Also, remember no one is born perfect at something. You need to practice, learn and push yourself out of your comfort zone and take risks. You don't have to be great at something to enjoy doing it!
Always look for the silver lining in circumstances. I have grown and learned the most in difficult situations.
