Sissy Sheridan is one of our newest additions, and has been stealing the show as Angie on Chicken Girls. We sat down with her between takes to get the 411. Here’s what we learned:

While filming Chicken Girls, what was your favorite scene to shoot?

I love the musical number in the “Rodeo and Juliet” scenes. I think it’s safe to say that Jay and Annie and I had a lot of laughs filming that day. Getting to film a show within a show is a really unique concept. The western vibe - with choreography and cowboy costumes was a blast.

What’s your favorite thing about being on set?

Everything! I love the atmosphere on set and how productive it is. It’s amazing how many people it takes to film a show. Everyone is so creative and unique. We’re all together for a common purpose which is exciting. Everytime you step onto a set you have the opportunity to learn from the director, your castmates, and the crew. I make sure I take away lessons from each job I do. And lastly, I can’t say enough about the crafty table!

Is there anything you hate about being on set?

I don’t hate anything about being on set! Performing is my passion and the set is the playfield for actors. It’s a blessing to have the chance to do what makes you tick.

Who is a historical figure you look up to or admire?

One historical figure I look up to is Martin Luther KIng, Jr. He stood for social justice in a very turbulent time during our nation’s history. He was directly influenced by Gandhi in his nonviolent approach to change. He stood in the face of danger and hate and didn’t blink.

If you could play another character on any Brat show, who would you be?

I would love to play Cassie on Total Eclipse. It’s a juicy lead role with dance which is also a passion of mine. I like the fact that her intelligence is explored as I love academics as well.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

In ten years I’ll be twenty-four. First, I would like to think I will have been working all those years in film, TV, and Broadway LOL. Second, I would like to have started my own charity to raise awareness for those with special needs! I know it’s a lot but I work hard and think positively.

When you’re not on set or working, how do you like to spend your time?

I love hanging out with my friends and family! I’m also a typical teenager who likes to binge watch Netflix while eating too many Sour Patch Watermelons. I also have three dogs who can be relaxing while at the same time drive me crazy with all their barking every time they see a squirrel.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Because I want to continue to pursue acting in film and TV, I would say Los Angeles. I love how LA has both the beach and the mountains. Also, most of my Brat friends live in Los Angeles so it would be great to see them more often! Can I also say Vieques - where I could snorkel in that crystal clear water and look for turtles!

What’s your favorite TV show?

I love The Office so much! It’s witty and silly and sweet and that’s totally my sense of humor! My runner up would be The Fosters. It’s such a real show that explores current social issues and I’m so sad it ended!

What’s your favorite YouTube video that you’ve posted?

It would have to be either “The real reason i’m being homeschooled” or my “REVEALING MY CRUSH! Q&A” video! Those were both so much fun to make, and totally have noooooo clickbait......... lol! You guys can watch those videos as well as my vlogs about what it’s like to be in an Off-Broadway show as well as equity theatre shows.

Do you have a favorite YouTube star?

Right now I’m obsessed with James Charles, and Emma Chamberlain! James is so talented at makeup application as well as funny and such a sassy sister, while Emma keeps it real and is a quirky, relatable teen!

What’s your favorite book?

The Cellar By Natasha Preston. She started her career by writing fan fiction. This book kept me on my toes til the last pages. The only problem is that since it’s a thriller, I couldn’t read it at night! Even during the day it still had me holding my breath as I turned each page!

If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be?

I would want to be either Zendaya, or Millie Bobbie Brown! I think they both must have amazing closets! Both are very hot in the acting world right now and seem to have their pick of projects. It would be exciting walking the red carpet as well as giving concerts. They also command quite an audience of teens which makes it easier to reach people to support your passions.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

My faith, family, friends, and french fries! My faith reminds me of my purpose here, and my friends and family keep me humble! Without them I’d be nowhere! French fries are my favorite food and I can eat them 24/7 so without them I’d be very hangry all the time!

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?

Coffee ice cream with java chips or chocolate chips is my go to! I love iced coffee and coffee ice cream is like a sweeter more delicious version of that. Plus the java chips/ chocolate chips add a perfect crunch in the creaminess!

Do you have a favorite Disneyland ride?

I’m a big fan of It’s a Small World. The ride is so sweet and full of so many cute things to look at. Plus - that song! I could ride it over and over again!

Before we wrap up, can you tell us one last fun fact?

I’m a triple threat, which in the theatre world means, I act, sing, and dance. Although you may have just seen me acting on Chicken Girls, Maniac on Netflix, or my show, DIY With Me on Nickelodeon’s Youtube, I actually sing and dance as well! I started as a musical theatre kid and have been doing musicals since I was six years old, and taking dance lessons since I was four!
