Hayley LeBlanc: The 411
Hayley LeBlanc is a busy girl, but she took the time to catch up with us on the set of Brat Chat. Here’s the 411:
You’re on three different Brat shows, Chicken Girls, Mani, and Hotel Du Loone. Of all the scenes you’ve shot, do you have a favorite?
Hayley: my favorite thing to shoot was this scene with Tim in Chicken Girls. He comes to the door with flowers looking for Rhyme, and instead of letting him in, I take the flowers and scream “RHYYYME!” like really loud. The faces he would make at me were so funny and just like “ummmm Okay.”
What’s the best thing about being on set?
Hanging out with my friends. It’s really so much fun.
What’s the worst thing about being on set?
When you’re acting, do you ever get shy?
Not really…but the first time I was ever on set I was pretty nervous. It was the Chicken Girls set and I didn’t know what to expect. But once I started to get to know everyone I wasn’t nervous anymore. I started to relax and then I was like “oh hey, this is awesome. Hey best friends, what’s up?!” By the second day it became like home.
What do you like to do when you’re not on set?
Write songs. I’ve been writing songs for one or two months, so it’s new. Some are happy songs, some are sad songs, a little bit of both. I haven’t released any of my music, but I plan to.
What’s your favorite song these days?
Idontwannabeyouanymore by Billie Eilish.
Do you ever listen to Annie LeBlanc songs?
Yes and I love them. My favorites are Little Things and Ordinary Girl.
Do you have a favorite TV show?
Raven’s Home on Disney Channel. It’s with Raven Simone. And I love That’s So Raven too. This one is like with her and her family, her kids and her friends and their kids. It’s really good.
You and your family have a YouTube channel called Bratayley, what’s your favorite Bratayley video?
It’s called I Never Want to Go to the Park Again. It’s from a long, long time ago when I was I think three, and I went to the park and walked through a puddle…well, here, you should watch it:
What would you tell someone who thinks your life is perfect?
It’s not perfect. It’s a mess. It’s very messy. I’m a normal girl and some people seem to not understand that.
Before we wrap up, can you tell us one last fun fact?
Hmmm, let me think. The character Harmony on Chicken Girls was written specifically for me. I was just hanging out on set while Annie was filming and they asked me if I'd want to be in the show too!
