Riley Lewis: The 411
We sat down with Chicken Girl Riley Lewis for a quick hear to heart. Here's what we learned, and everything you need to know:
So, Riley, you play Quinn on Chicken Girls. What's been your favorite scene to shoot so far?
At the end of season two there's a scene where the Chicken Girls are at finals and we're missing our sixth team member. The announcer guy pops his head around the curtain to ask us where she is, and every time he would do that we'd get startled and start laughing uncontrollably. It took us forever to film just because we couldn't stop laughing.
What's the best thing about being on set?
I love that it's more like hanging out with your friends than work. It's great getting to know the whole cast and crew.
What's the worst thing about being on set?
I guess that would be set school. It takes time away from the fun!
What would you tell someone who thinks your life is perfect?
I'd tell them that it takes a lot of work, and a lot goes into making it what it is. It's a lot of fun but there are downfalls too. My life isn't perfect, but on the other hand it's better than I ever could have imagined it would be. Perfect is subjective anyway, it just depends on your perspective.
What's your favorite thing to do when you're not on set or working?
My siblings and I have these friends where we live who we love hanging out with. When I'm not working I like going over to their place to go swimming or riding. Sometimes we'll make a campfire and just chill.
Do you have a TV show that you're currently loving?
I have so many. I don't know where to start. Let's see... Grey's Anatomy, Thirteen Reasons Why, Riverdale, Stranger Things...I'm a huge Disney fairy tale person so of course I love Once Upon a Time.
Who's Your Favorite Friends Friend?
That would be Chandler. At first I hated him because I wasn't watching it in order, so I didn't really get his jokes or his character, I just thought he was annoying. But then when I sat through and watched it all, season one to season ten, he became my favorite.
Your YouTube channel has almost 200,000 subscribers. What's your favorite video that you've posted?
Definitely the Chapstick Challenge that I did with my boyfriend Tyler. I put on chapstick and then he had to kiss me and guess witch flavor I was wearing.
What was your first time on set, and what was it like?
The first time I was on set we were filming a scene in the arcade. The AC wasn't working so it was like ninety degrees inside--it was literally cooler outside than it was inside--and we had to keep the fans turned off because they were too loud. I used to love Bratayley videos, so when I met Annie on that first day I was fangirl-ing out a little bit. It's funny because now we're such good friends. It was a little stressful to have to learn the Birds of a Feather dance on the spot, but it was more fun than stressful.
Before we wrap up, can you tell us one last fun fact?
In Chicken Girls Season 3 my character Quinn goes through a big change. You'll have to wait until September to see it, but it's gonna be really fun!
