Brooklyn Queen: The 411
Our Talent Show finalist Brooklyn is a dancing QUEEN. We sat down with her to get the full 411, scroll to read what we learned!
How did you first find out you were going to be on the talent show?
My mom told me I was selected. At first I thought she was joking, but when I knew it was real I was super excited.
What was your favorite part about being on the talent show?
Definitely the people I got to work with every day, they are all so talented and full of positive energy.
You have a really unique name. Do you know how your parents decided on it?
Yes I got my name Brooklyn from my mom. She's a huge Biggie fan and he was from Brooklyn. "Queen" is not my real last name. But we are all born kings and queens.
How long have you been dancing? when did you know this is something you wanted to pursue?
I have been dancing since before I could walk. I would always start moving when I heard music. I knew I wanted to pursue music and dancing at 5 years old. I performed at a school talent show and the feeling I got on stage was amazing, my mind was set at that moment.
Who is a figure from history that you admire/look up to?
Definitely Martin Luther King. His dream made it possible for me to live a wonderful life.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
My goal by then is for Beyoncé to want to meet me. Other than that, I will be following my dreams, working hard and encouraging other people to believe that no dream is too big.
What is your very favorite thing to do when you’re not dancing?
I love cooking!
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Definitely LA, I love the whole feel of the city.
Favorite tv show currently? (not necessarily a Brat show. Anything!)
Master Chef Kids Edition.
What is your favorite youtube video that you’ve posted?
When I pranked my mom with whipped cream. Love you, ma!
If you could be someone else for a day who would it be and why?
Beyoncé. Obviously! Doesn't everybody want that?
One thing you couldn’t live without?
Favorite ice cream flavor?
Favorite ride at Disneyland?
I don’t have a favorite, yet I still have to get to all of them.
One last fun fact?
