If you know me, you know I’m a hard worker. Quite often I feel like I’m out in the world fending for myself, which means I have to work twice as hard just to survive. But something I’ve learned: I’ll go crazy if I don’t stop to take it easy on myself. 2019 is the year I learn self-care. Come by on Sundays and I’ll share my favorite self-care tips and tricks with you!
Self-care tips to try this week
Write in a journal.
Whether you’re imagining fictional characters or detailing everyday moments, writing in a journal will strengthen your mind and help you process whatever emotions you’re feeling.
Clean your room.
It may not sound fun, but cleaning is a perfect way to practice self-care. By organizing your space, you can declutter your thoughts and feel prepared for the week ahead.
Drink chamomile tea.
It’s been said that chamomile tea has healing properties and can help you relax, fall asleep, and reduce pain and inflammation. Brew yourself a cup in your favorite mug.
Watch something funny.
When it comes to self-care, laughter is sometimes all you need. Find a YouTube video or sitcom that never fails to crack you up, and press play!
Get out flour and sugar, choose your flavor, and preheat the oven for a Sunday treat - you deserve it! Bonus points if you share with your friends at school this week.
