Kristi Beckett: The 411
Kristi Beckett plays Annabelle on Red Ruby. Scroll for everything we learned about her during our one on one chat!
What was your favorite Red Ruby scene to shoot?
We went to these huge caves called Vazquez Rocks. I’m from Florida, so everything I know is totally flat. It was cool to kind of be in the mountains!
How did you get into acting?
When I was ten I had a music teacher who I started taking voice lessons from and she told me about this local theatre. I auditioned for one of the musicals and ended up getting a role! My passion grew from there.
When I was sixteen I booked Nickelodeon’s I am Frankie, so that was my first real TV experience. Everyone in this industry is so welcoming and everyone was immediately so nice to me.
What do you love about being on set?
The relationships that you form. Every new set that I join turns into a family. Getting to meet people who love to do the same things as you is a really rewarding experience.
What do you hate about being on set?
Nothing...I never liked set school but I don’t have to do that anymore.
Who is a figure from history that you admire or look up to?
Probably Susan B. Anthony. She was such a role model for women.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Hopefully on Broadway, or switching between film and Broadway. Having a happy life is what matters most.
What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not on set or working?
I love dancing. Or hanging out with friends.
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Probably Iceland because it’s green! And I love how ironic that is. Everyone seems so nice who is from there.
What’s your favorite TV show currently?
I just found The Resident. I love doctor shows!
If you could be someone else for a day who would it be and why?
Taylor Swift ….because i think her life is so fabulous.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
My parents. Truly.
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
What’s your favorite ride at Disneyland?
I’ve actually never been to Disneyland. My favorite ride at Universal Studios Orlando is the Men in Black ride where you get to shoot aliens.
Before we wrap up, can you tell us one last fun fact about yourself?
I have a black pug named Stanli Anne!
