Diana's Diary Reboot Entry 8

Last week, I decided that I wasn’t going to obsess about my life being perfect anymore. Here’s the weird thing: that’s just when my life started to get perfect. This year has had its ups and downs, but the tides are finally turning.

The first amazing thing is that I think I have another friend back. Guess who it is?! Okay, fine, it’s Morgan. No, she didn’t ditch Eli and that random film club yet, but I’m trying not to care. Sometimes I wonder why she’d pick that crew over me, but I’m starting to understand that I don’t have to be everything to everyone. It should be okay to have different friends in different groups...right?

Also, I don’t want to get ahead of myself too much. It’s not like Morgan and I are joined at the hip again, we just hung out once. And Cassie was there, and we had a reason to be talking, too.  But I can’t help but think it’s just the beginning of our friendship making a comeback.

When I started hanging out with Cassie to take down Miss Dawson, I was super worried about other people finding out. I put so much effort into taking Cassie down just a few months ago - what if everyone knew that Cassie and I were secretly friends and thought I was a fraud? Now, I’m starting to let go of that fear. When Cassie came up to my lunch table my heart almost dropped, but I took a deep breath and told myself it was going to be okay. No one is going to judge me for changing (now, I just have to start believing that).

Oh! I finally have some Miss Dawson gossip, too (I told you it was a good week). Turns out, her real name is Nicole-Miranda Snell. Ew. And…she’s from Millwood, not New York. Morgan’s half-sister Jasmine might have even more details, so I’ll have more updates ASAP. For now, it’s time to enjoy my almost-perfect life!
